CNET Networks UK, the UK's largest* online-only publisher, has signed T-Mobile as exclusive partner for the community pages on ZDNet.co.uk, which includes sponsorship and advertising across the website's new user-generated content areas.

ZDNet.co.uk, the leading UK website for IT professionals, is one of the first online B2B publications to offer its users group blogs, which are a place where members can write on a specific subject alongside their peers.  Already live are group blogs on upgrading systems to Windows Vista, on security management, and more are soon to be launched.

Group blogs generate a stream of content on a specific topic without individual members having to post every day. They give readers a broader viewpoint on a subject, and members can learn from their peers' insights and experiences.

For advertisers such as T-Mobile group blogs attract a highly targeted audience passionate about a focused subject such as working with Microsoft's new Vista platform.  ZDNet.co.uk is open to vendors taking an active part in the Group with their involvement clearly signalled to readers. This lets them engage with the ZDNet.co.uk community and create a direct dialogue with potential customers.

T-Mobile is using the group blogs and other community features, such as 'Featured TalkBack' on the ZDNet.co.uk homepage, to promote its bespoke business mobile solutions and services.

Matt Loney, ZDNet.co.uk site director, said: "Group blogs are places where like-minded people can gather and exchange information – like getting together with friends in your usual spot in the pub. Our members have a wealth of knowledge and opinions; through group blogs they can now share it easily with their peers. For advertisers group blogs offer highly targeted campaign opportunities, which enable their brands to connect with ZDNet.co.uk users."
